Short presentation	Hi, I am Simran Vedvyas – a young 13 year old girl student senior school at “The Millennium School”, Dubai- United Arab Emirates, a true environmentalist and an individual who walks an extra mile to help and serve. I am the PREFECT of the Middle School for the current year and receiver of 2 prestigious awards straight this year “The Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Makhtoum Awards” 2012 and “The Sharjah Educational Award for Excellence” 2012, I also won “The Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Makhtoum Awards” 2009 and “The Sharjah Educational Award for Excellence” 2008, Citizenship Award -2011 and Principal’s Special Award 2009 and 2008. I am TUNZA Eco Generation Regional Ambassador Middle East and I also represent Earth Charter International as Youth Task Force Group Country Activator- UAE. I participated as Speaker and delegate and represented YOUTH at the Eye on Earth Summit 2011 at Abu Dhabi I have been an active Student member of the EMIRATES ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP since 2007 and as member I have participated each year in Earth Hour Events, Clean Up Events, Toners, plastic and Can Collection Drives for a safer Environment. I participate in special Eco activities and believe in safe disposal of electronics and advocate for the same through various platforms like painting and photography contests, debates and blogs to raise voice and awareness of environment and need of sustainable development. As a person who walks an extra mile to help I collected over 1500 pairs of shoes in less than a month; sent and distributed through US-AID AMPATH to Centre in Eldoret Kenya, Africa and Uganda for the impoverished patients suffering from Diabetes in Africa and Middle East in 2010 and 2011. I participates in various drives and support to Dubai Cares, WWF, Terry Fox Run, Breast Cancer Walk etc. Talented in public speaking, drama, dance and computers, I enjoy photography and reading. I have traveled to over 23 countries and have also visited several Wonders of the World. [...]
