Description
Mountain ecosystems are global resources and need global support to offer global solutions. Also, it asks for mountain countries to organise themselves internationally to share resources and unite their political voice. With the government representatives from three Himalayan countries – India, Nepal and Bhutan, the event aims to generate a dialogue for coercive action and strategy to present an equivocal voice during Rio +20, and share their perspectives to the New Mountain Agenda. Three ministers and policy makers from the region and development planners will express their views and discuss among themselves on how we should work together to promote sustainable development of the Himalayan Mountains to contribute to the sustainable development and poverty reduction of the entire region.
