What impact do fair trade, organic, and other eco-labels have on sustainability?
Taking place in San Francisco on January 17-18, the annual Sustainable Foods Summit will focus on the leading issues the food industry faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels such as “organic,” “fair trade,” and “Rainforest Alliance.” The summit will explore the ways the food industry can reduce its environmental impact by using sustainable ingredients and packaging.
Nourishing the Planet Director Danielle Nierenberg will speak at the event, drawing upon her research and on-the-ground experience in Sub-Saharan Africa to offer insights into how agricultural innovations are contributing to sustainability and mitigating climate change.
