At the informal negotiations on the Zero Draft of the Outcome Document (March 19-23), IBON in partnership with Both Ends will hold a side event entitled “Rights for Sustainability and Sustainable Development Governance” (title subject to change) on March 21 at 6:15 to 7:45 PM in Conference Room B in the North Lawn Building of the UN Headquarters in New York City. Invited speakers are asked to talk about their views on the current zero draft, particularly with respect to Rights, Livelihood and Ecosystems, Earth Rights and the Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration. Confirmed resource persons are Lalanath de Silva of World Resources Institute, Paul Quintos of IBON and Helga Serrano of Ecuador’s Ministerio Coordinador de Patrimonio.
